Everyday Consumption by Megan, Nayara, Noa and Dennis

A product that we consume daily is the marker.AD_4nXfViavkYCYhevA6EnzFsO8k2yhlhb-lZzlX5ubEa6TcJjlhasvesUyy3TTghuCfbwSWIn9x4UPYbe3b2Ob7O1jrFQwt1EbsW_BLyla0-fVMEIqTkZSz9Sd3Yvj3l-z0wLRKhfIMfyY4zyfg58mmAPh9SHYV?key=1J1La5n2-kqCC2h_-M9lm3oO

Some materials and natural resources with which it is made are a compressed ink, a plastic or aluminum tube that ends in a point.Plastic and ink can contaminate land and water and cause great damage.

Something that surprised us about our consumption is that it is pollutable.

Sincerely Megan,Nayara,Noa and Dennis.

Everyday Consumption by Aarón, Sherlyn and Avetik

 Dear friends,

One product we consume daily is plastic pens .

Some materials and natural resources are plastic and chemicals. The ink has so many chemicals, and the casing is made from plastic.AD_4nXdlslMW1GZOW7agy_okUL7hWfopK3JYZopD6D3sQ0j_MM2VZZrnPfbk1UJKfc2M-kDGCcubXcr-uD-YwORenmdzcjEZxOz4jakx43e0_tGElm9lI2Ajlmunn0GrMFpAxrqDSJ3JnV_Xupw6BCHaLQzEh17Z?key=n7Hdf6qHhUh6BXbcQhvh10rC

Something that surprised us about our consumption is not good for the environment, because the ink has chemicals, and the plastic comes from very polluting factories.

1 pen consumes so much, the machines consume so much gasoline, consumes 5 liters per hour, the ink does similarly the same, but it consumes TOO MUCH gasoline. 10 liters per hour.

Sincerely,

Aarón, Sherlyn, i Avetik

Everyday Consumption by Nora T, Andrea and Kenza

 Dear peers,

One product we consume daily is WC paper.AD_4nXfJtPuybqMdbkagy7wLPxzVexkgqT0MmTGwmczjLONXUyRQLo5t8AJFB9SaSGe61jW5utlfE92RfQl57GJngniTHRD9X9Hlfi4kjyIW20z0gPjdBQ8rTjKi9ZAoFrIQ5BHviPAeOA?key=U0v_pO7JEE_8OcQ7QRcx1Y_A

Some materials and natural resources it is made from are cellulose pulp, coming from tree wood and eucalyptus, as it is very cheap and resistant. Other materials are also used, such as cotton and hemp.

Something that surprised us about our consumption is It takes more than 1 year to disappear and 27,000 trees are needed to produce the amount of toilet paper used daily in the world.AD_4nXcFTQoPh4OB4TodWO0e_y3zlTvVQpZAr_1mK_UgqsAv52JjOPNILuiXpXWgTtDOopLPW27ye_wOkyNqXmLVEw4VpjhMx6Z22DtOgIRayc1Fjfx-aJNwbpi3EF1vJPE8qilQH1vSQg?key=U0v_pO7JEE_8OcQ7QRcx1Y_A

Everyday Comsuption by Isaac, Thiago, Mohammed and Nora

 Dear friends,

A product that we consume daily are plastic bags.

Some materials and natural resources with which they are made are from a source of polyethylene. This can vary, the most common thing is that it comes from some type of fossil fuel. Natural gas and oil (both derived from fossil fuels) are vital sources and ingredients for the manufacture of plastic bags.AD_4nXfujaHYlZlod1Enk9XwVWAB2KrO61iq55_jsYljEPJWjlh8X6_skJykwsEzj4525W8J1GEHOdeLn3GAnOdjFWpnQEvmJY7fa8nuTIsAzRHT5XrVRAwSEC5Cs6U9SyBzseqhKAdTpBPU3Z3w43BPcfUQnFAC?key=Hmkenq2Kes8fnFv2wdAY6Yky

Something that surprised us about our consumption is that it comes from liquefied petroleum and then solidifies. We cannot imagine that buying and taking a bag pollutes so much. In total we use 200 bags each year and each bag takes 500 years to decompose, and of the 500 years we only use it for 12 minutes.

Sincerely, Isaac, Thiago, Mohammed and Nora

COME AND FLY WITH ME - THEATRE play at our school

Come Fly with Me is about three great women who changed the world. Valentina Tereshkova the first woman in space, Trudie Ederle, the first women to swim the English Channel and Amy Johnson, the first woman to fly solo from London to Australia.

We meet Valentina at school while she looks out of the window and wonders what it would be like to travel into space.

We then meet Trudie on her first failed attempt and learn what we need to do when swimming the Channel.

We follow her successful attempt and students join in asking her questions. We are then swept up in the air with Amy in her plane Jason.

We fly to Australia, through all types of weather and over all kinds of terrain.

Finally we are again with Valentina who is looking down from space and tell us how small and fragile the earth is.

Through the stories of these women we find out what they did, why they inspire us and what they taught us.

All the stories were amazing. We had a great time!!
